Crypto-Based Authentication

IMPLEMENT FIDO2 FOR PASSWORDLESS AUTHENTICATION BASED ON THE SECURITY OF PUBLIC KEY CRYPTOGRAPHY.

We'll help you implement FIDO2 to provide passwordless, biometric security.

The world finally has a replacement for the password. With FIDO2, passwordless authentication is both more secure AND a better user experience. You can check out how it works by following the steps below or checking out our interactive OpenAPI documentation.

1. Deploy a Sample FIDO2 Web App

Virtual/Test Machine

To get started, you’ll need a test machine to run your web app. You can run this almost anywhere: on a local computer, a virtual machine on your desktop, or in a private or public cloud.

FIDO2 Server

Then, install the free, open-source FIDO2 server onto your test machine.

Sample Web App

There are 2 parts to this basic web application. Install both components by completing the web app installation.

Client

Install the js sample code that provides the communication to FIDO2 passwordless authentication.

2. Register and Authenticate Users

Android

With Android 7+, use the fingerprint reader you’re your mobile Chrome browser.

Windows

With Microsoft Edge, use the fingerprint reader or facial recognition.

Mac

If you’ve got a MacBook Pro, use the fingerprint reader with Chrome or Safari Technology Preview.

External Keys

With an external FIDO2 or U2F security key, use almost any system with certain browsers, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari Technology Preview.
